13th Annual IES - LA Golf Classic

Jim Benya

On October 2nd over 80 golfers participated in this annual classic at the Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey. Chairman Michael Searer organized the event and provided a day of fun and friendly competition for all. Our tournament has played an important role in assisting the L.A. Section in raising funds for the Saul Goldin Memorial Scholarship. For the past 125 years, this Scholarship has awarded students with financial aid to complete requirements in lighting education at the undergraduate level.

The Los Angeles Section of the IES would like to thank all who participated and Golfparticularly the Hole Sponsors and Raffle Prize contributors for their continued support. The golf course put on an excellent dinner and the raffle was a great success. Michael would like to thank the many who helped with this event, particularly Valerie Khiaban.
